The Notepad feature in Empathia AI is designed for you to add a brief context about the patient and the encounter to generate a great note! You can specify your encounter, write pre-visit notes and anything you wouldn't say out loud. Everything entered into the notepad will be seamlessly integrated into your final encounter note, ensuring no vital information is missed.
To use this feature, first create a new encounter using the button "+New Encounter" on the main page. You will then see a screen similar to the one shown below. You can paste, type in or dictate contextual information about the patient. You can include the patient's name, age, gender, medical history, object of the encounter, lab results, and intake summary.
In this example, the doctor has written notes in the Notepad about Olivia's previous visit so that it can integrate with the visit today. The doctor wrote alarming previous symptoms and what he/she noticed about Olivia in the previous visit.
This feature is also available in the google chrome extension and will look similar to the screen below.
After completing your encounter, you will be able to see that the generated note includes details from the contextual information in the notepad. There is also a separate tab for you to see your Notepad notes. It is located next to the "SOAP Note" tab. Below is a visual representation of this.
We also have a Past Records feature for you to include other useful information such as treatment, past conditions, allergies and social history. It could also include a very short summary of a previous encounter. Below is a visual representation of this seen on google chrome extension. It is similar to the Past Records feature on web portal.
Please refer to the YouTube video below for more details about the Notepad and Past Records feature.
