Editing the Patient Name

Created by Niharika Khiria, Modified on Fri, 16 May at 2:39 PM by Celine Lin

We always recommend entering the patient's name before or during recordings. However, if you didn't have a chance, don't worry, and we've got you covered.

Why We Built This

  • Fix Mistakes: Sometimes the AI might spell a patient’s name wrong. This feature lets you correct it quickly.

  • Accuracy: This feature ensures patient records are correct, which is crucial for good care and legal reasons.

  • Saves Time: Instead of redoing the whole report, you can just fix the name.

How It Works

On the web portal, go to "Encounter List", you can edit a patient name and it will automatically update the notes with the correct name. Below are the steps with an example to do this.

Option 1: In the Encounter List, hover your cursor over the name of the patient. In the example below, user has hovered the cursor over patient "Jenny".

Click the name of the user and type in the new name. In the example below, the new name is "Jenna".

Option 2: Click on your note to see the new changes. In the example below, the name in every section of the note has been changed from "Jenny" to "Jenna".

Alternatively, you can edit the name directly on the encounter page
