Our system ensures that all identified medications are cross-referenced with our comprehensive drug database, which includes medications available in the US and Canada.
We recognize that medication errors can arise from voice-to-text transcription, particularly due to accents or newly introduced medications. We use the following approaches to streamline the correction process and enhance the accuracy of medication entries, improving overall efficiency and reducing errors.
Highlighting Corrections:
- Yellow Highlights: Indicate medication names that match our database with no discrepancies, or have been corrected by our system but need double confirm.
- Red Highlights: Signal medications that are not found in our database.
Suggested Terms: For each red-highlighted medication, we provide 1-3 recommended alternatives based on our database. An input window will allow users to easily select or type in the correct name.
Learning Capability: All revised names will be remembered, and their accuracy will be prioritized in future note generations, minimizing the need for repeated corrections of the same term.
