1. Feature Overview
Physicians often review key materials—like referrals, test results, or discharge notes—before patient appointments. Creating an intake summary is a critical part of this chart prep. Now, you can add a scheduled appointment date to your draft summaries, making it easier to review them when the appointment arrives.
2. How-To Guide
- Add relevant patient information to the notepad, past records or upload documents via Smart Summary.
- Go to the “Add Appointment Time” Tab to add the scheduled appointment date & time.
- Click on “Generate Draft Summary” to create an Intake summary.
- To find relevant drafts for a given day, filter your notes by “Draft” type. Your Drafts are automatically sorted by date to easily help locate the one for a given date.
- On the day of the appointment, you can start your visit as usual to record the patient encounter, complete a televisit or dictate the final note.
3. Best Practices and Tips
- Ensure you enter the correct date to the appointment time calendar.
- Remember to filter your encounter notes by Draft type to review the appointment time.
