Feature Overview

Smart Chat is your personal speed-reader that transforms static web pages into interactive, informative sessions! It quickly scans any web based patient record or web page and provides you with a concise summary. You can even use Smart Chat to flag abnormal lab results, summarize a medication list or ask any other questions related to the information on the page.

Why we built this:

Physicians frequently navigate numerous web pages to gather clinical information or review medical research. Staying up to date on research or sifting through a new patient's file can be both time-consuming and susceptible to errors. "Smart Chat" enables you to quickly access actionable insights and pose follow-up questions, aiding your decision-making process. This feature not only saves time but also improves your understanding and use of online medical content.

How to Guide:

  1. Click on the Chat Icon to launch the feature
  2. Select from one of the options provided to start the conversation or ask a question about the webpage you are currently viewing.
  3. Smart Chat will auto generate questions to further continue the conversation

Advanced Use Cases

Medical Knowledge Search:

  • Utilize the “Ask me anything about this page”  to rapidly extract the information you need to access from recent studies or guidelines to inform your medical decision making.
  • Quickly summarize latest medical information from reliable sources like PubMed, OpenEvidence, and UpToDate.
  • Get concise summaries of information relevant to the patient’s condition without manually searching multiple databases.

Best Practices and Tips

  • Common Use Tips: Ask questions related to information on that particular webpage only; memory is not carried over between different web pages.
