Empathia AI includes a feature that allows healthcare providers to input patients' names and preferred pronouns. This
enhances the way providers interact with patients, ensuring that every individual feels acknowledged and respected during their care experience.
Benefits of Inputting Patient Name and Pronoun:
- Enhanced Personalization: Using patients' names and preferred pronouns makes interactions more personal and meaningful.
- Improved Communication: Clear and accurate use of names and pronouns helps prevent misunderstandings and fosters better dialogue.
- Increased Comfort: When patients feel recognized, they are more likely to engage openly, leading to improved health outcomes.
- Fostering Inclusivity: This feature supports diverse identities, creating a more welcoming environment for all patients.
- Streamlined Documentation: Automatically including names and pronouns saves time for providers, allowing them to focus on patient care.
Firstly, on the main page, after clicking on "+New Encounter", your screen will look like below. You can input the Patient Name and select which Pronouns to use, such as He, She, They, or Unspecified.
The same feature is available if you use google chrome extension. Below is a visual representation of this.
You can always edit the name after the notes are regenerated as well. Click on the name in the encounters list and it will automatically be edited in the note as well! Below is a visual representation of this.
